Back to Split after 2 months (imported from old blog)

Yes, it has been nice... The thought of leaving the next day to Split, one of my favorite cities in the world made me feel great. I still remember when I left Split last time, how I felt a bit sad that the MC office is in Zagreb and not there. Anyway, I packed my stuff the night before and put the clock to wake me up at 6:30. why? Because I wanted to catch the first bus and catch as much as possible from my first day in Split. And I did. At 8:00 AM the bus left. I was so thrilled thinking that in 4-4,5 hours I will be in Split, due to the new highway Zagreb-Split. So I put myself confortable in the chair and fell asleep soon after. Later on, I woke up all of a sudden, after a strange dream. I look around and what do you think I see? Well there was no highway! It was a typical country road, and the bus was stoping every time it had the chance. I went nuts. What happened? Why did the woman at the blagajna (ticket office) gave me this god forsaken ticket while she was told (I presume) by Marina that I want the highway... Anyway, out of 4,5 hours it became 7 hours of pain, misery and regrets. So, my only luck as usual was meeting somebody who's English speaker and change impressions, thoughts, etc. It wasn't that bad. And here it came. 15:00. Split. Sun, heat, lots of people around, nice chicks... everything I need. Ivna picked me up and we went to her place to leave my stuff, have a shower and then go again around town. We ate something and we left. She insisted we go somewhere where it's really really cool and she promised that I'm gonna love. A place called "Vidilica". Well I loved it once I got there but the way there killed me... A whole bunch of steps to climb on a 35+ degrees Celsius outside... Not a nice view/smell :P

But the view was awesome. I just loved it! And the coffee there as well. :) Later on I finaly got to know Jase, a very nice girl working in LC Split, who was in charge of communicating with the facilitators team for International Summer Program 2005. We bought each-other ice cream and then went down to business. It has been very nice talking to her. :) Soon after we went to meet Matt, Alchy and some other AIESECers who were on the ICX Functional Meeting there in Split. We didn't stay long with them as we needed to pick-up Viktor from Ukraine at the bus station. On the way there due to the heat, I had to buy a bottle of 1/2 liter of water, which cost me 5 kuna. Then I realized that in Romania for that money you can almost buy a bloody bottle of wine. Damn prices are too high there during the summer. We met Viktor. It has been really nice meeting the guy again. He's a total crazy guy which I had a major fun with throughout ISP. Thanks Viktor for all the laughs. :) And this is pretty much how it ended my first day in Split this summer. It was amazing, full, funny, great. I'll write more about what happened on ISP soon. Stay tuned. ;)
